The Surviving Members is band of 4 musical veterans who have already covered more blacktop than many of the musicians on the road today. They've played alongside some of the highest class Country, Rock and Pop artists in the USA. The four of them have performed together in many different configurations throughout the years, and recently came together as The Surviving Members in order to record and perform the music that Jeremy Adam was writing.
Jeremy Adam - keyboards, vocals.
Adam Burtch - bass, vocals.
Michael (Mac) McDevitt - guitars, vocals.
Brandon Frederking - drums.
All the members are from the central Illinois area. Drummer Brandon Frederking honed his craft in Nashville, Tennessee for years before returning home to Illinois and becoming an in-demand drummer throughout the state. Bassist Adam Burtch has enjoyed being the area’s top bassist for over a decade, while periodically hitting the road plucking his bass for many regional and national acts. Guitarist Michael ‘Mac’ McDevitt has been a top-flight guitarist for over 20 years, with his claims-to-fame being the guitarist for a singer/songwriter on multiple tours all over the US and USO tours throughout Europe, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia, as well as headlining at two consecutive Six String Summit shows. Jeremy Adam has been the go-to keyboardist, pianist and musical director for handfuls of acts and establishments for many years, while continuing to develop his own songs and sound - now he has his own band and is concentrating his efforts there.
The four of them began discussing this project while spending hours in a van, on the road as sidemen for a national act touring through Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida. After a few initial local performances together as The Surviving Members, the guys realized how much fun they were having with each other and decided to make it an official project. Now two albums in, and with another already in the works, the project continues to gain momentum.
